Dear FlyLady,
There are a few of us FlyBabies here that are low income and can't afford much wanting to pamper ourselves. The bath gels, lotion, foot spas, and so forth can get expensive. Are there any suggestions you can provide for some cost free or home remedy type pampering sessions?
Tanya
Dear Tanya,
All you have to do is go to your kitchen for some of these fun and easy make at home ideas from Jessica:
A hair deep conditioner treatment, you can make a mixture of olive oil and egg yolks, apply to hair and wrap hair in a warm towel. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse well. Depending on what type of hair you have this might work better for some if they apply this first and then wash the mixture out. You can also use regular hair conditioner and wrap hair in plastic wrap and a warm towel for 20 minutes. Then rinse well.
A facial treatment:
-For oily skin: take 3 eggs whites and whip until slightly stiff, apply to face, be careful around the eye area as this will dry the eye area out. Leave for 20 minutes and rinse well with warm water.
-For dry skin: After exfoliating, take mayonnaise (yes mayo!) scoop out a small spoonful and slather on your face! I know it seems strange, but it will moisturize your dried out face! Leave for 20 minutes and use a warm washcloth the rinse off.
-Rest those tired eyes: take two tea bags that have been steeped and rest the tea bags on your closed eyes while you soak in a relaxing tub even for just 5 minutes, sounds strange but very refreshing. You can sip on the tea while soaking!

Do They Work on Ceramic Tile?
Dear FlyLady, Do the Rubba Scrubba and Rags in a Bag work on a ceramic tile shower too? I have been swishing and swiping my toilet and sink but I have to admit my shower has gotten nasty!! I have soap scum and mold all over. (I can't believe I just admitted that to everyone!) But I have never found products that help me keep it clean or that can clean it very well. I'm always afraid of the toxicity of it since we don't have a bathroom window. Any ideas would be appreciated so I can add my shower to my daily Swish and Swipe routine!
